sr20 no start/flooding with fuel
long story short, put a bb t28/z32 maf/550cc inj./enthalpy tuned ecu in my car back in october and drove it with no issues for a month or so before i put it up for the winter, took the car out again in february in a week the roads were clear and it had a stuck open injector, swapped a new injector back in and no issues.
fast forward to a month ago and the car wouldnt start, it would pop and bang for a bit and then get to the point it was turning over with no fire at all and then to the point where it would hydrolock a cylinder with gas, i figured another injector was sticking open so i took the STI 550cc injectors out of the car and replaced them with a different set of 550cc injectors and im still having the same issue, i originally thought this was a fuel issue because the car was getting spark and seemed like it wanted to start but now im thinking it might be just be sparking at the wrong time, could this be a cam angle sensor or ignitor issue? if so how could i tell which is which without swapping in known good ones as i have no extras available all wiring was done correctly and ecu seems to be ok as when i first did this setup i had no issues with it and cant find any wiring shorts/cuts etc.

boost leak test and report back (fill with air pressure. Dont try any gimmick like smoke test etc)
and could it be old gasoline from 10 months ago? Those old tanks do not seal up well. |

think i might have found my problem or at least part of it, are there any igniters out of other nissans that i could use? there is a you pull it junkyard around here with some sentra's/altima's/maxima's in it. if not anyone have a redtop sr igniter they wanna sell?

put a new igniter in the car and went over all the wiring to it and didnt see any issues, car was closer to starting but still flooded, pulled all the coil packs out and turned it over and all were sparking but two were weaker than the others so swapped them out with two other good ones and the car started
so the car now runs and drives but runs super rich, it has ran rich since putting the bigger turbo/inj and retuned ecu in it but i had always chocked it up to the sti injectors that were in it being bad/sticking open but it runs exactly the same with another set of known good 550cc injectors in it. could this be because my wideband isnt wired into the ecu? i didnt think that would effect it this much and it would just run in open loop all the time, even at WOT its still very rich when it should be in open loop anyway is it possible when i had rs-enthalpy retune the ecu he didnt spec the injector values to 550cc? or could there be some other reason it is getting too much fuel? bad fuel pressure regulator? car still has the factory rail and pressure regulator so they are not adjustable

I would say it sounds like it's in the tune, hard to tell really. Do you have a wideband gauge hooked up to see what's going on? Do you have the ability to throw stock inj back in with a stock ecu?

car runs and drives fine out of boost now but as soon as it gets in boost it misfires and is still running rich, boost isnt leaking from anywhere and ive also done a compression and leakdown test which both showed no issues

yeah thats going to be the last thing i try as i dont want to spend $150 on a retune to have that not be the issue
ill be giving martin at rs-enthalpy a call on my next day off to see if he can help me troubleshoot this or if he'll check the ecu out for me
