Those are pretty tasty looking, and if the post was accurate about how much the kit costs, that's less than what I would expected.
But for that extra cash, wish they included something more performance oriented than lowering springs. I think I'll take that extra $1800+ and buy more own wheels and suspension. Looking forward to see how those look in real life though and not a PS job.

^Finally. Wondered if everyone lost their mind.
The five axis looks like the Vader body kits for S-chassis.

I have a hard time believing that 5-axis edition will be sitting on it's tires like that with just lowering springs. Plus it looks like a whale shark.

Ok its time to kill this bullshit about Zilvians not being able to afford a sub $30,000 brand new sports car and nobody will buy a new S chassis.

Well guys I just saw a commercial on TV with Nissan announcing 5 new models in the next 15 months. They did mention something about a completely redesigned all new Altima which means we could be seeing a RWD Altima.

Well, we already know for certain at least two of the other ones under the sheets are the Versa/Tiida and the Pathfinder. The other two are supposed to be a new Sentra and the Rogue. Both are fairly old and in desperate need of refreshes. The last sentra sucked really bad.
I'm pretty sure Nissan is at least crunching the numbers right now for a new Silvia. The hype/demand for the BRZ/FT86 can't simply be ignored. |

Anyone read about the new IS using a stretched version of FT-86 platform?
Seems like Toyota is already looking at ways to take advantage of the platform and spread the cost. This also might mean a potential motor swap in the coming years.

PLEASE! When writing such comments, please format it "anyone read about the rumors of new IS using..." and exclude parts like "toyota is looking". All that is just plain bullshit rumors, but magazines like roadandtrack, autocar, etc read forums and then present rumors as facts, etc, etc. |

I'd LOVE to see the IS to shrink back down in size and maybe become a more driver focused car. the only thing really holding it back from being that is that it's a Lexus. So it inherently has to have gobs and gobs of tech first and foremost.
There's also been a rumor of a RWD Toyota Sedan off the FRS platform. what are your guys thoughts on that. Now THAT I would be incredibly inclined to buy (considering I have two kids). That could be really more in spirit of what the first gen IS/Altezza was.

While I like the idea, I can't see where it would fit in Toyota's line-up. Unless this is another niche product with a hybrid powertrain.

But toyota has said repeatedly they are dedicated to putting the sport back into toyota. A RWD small sedan would look nice next to the FRS in Scion Showrooms. Maybe a Scion RWD Sedan?

I think it's all about execution and pricing.
lot of concepts sound great but the end product doesn't always live up to expectations.\ another rumor is that there's going to be a cheaper ($5k) and lighter (who knows by how much) baby FR-S. supposedly it will make less power 109hp, not entirely sure it's something that appeals to me but Im sure some will like it. could be a great, fun to drive, commuter car. http://www.roadandtrack.com/future-c...n-a-baby-ft-86 |

I think there would be a market there simply because today's sport "compacts" like the 3 series are pretty much mid-size now. Granted it's a 5 door hatchback and not a sedan, but the 1 series has been a pretty big success for BMW. We need some real rwd compact sedans on the market.
