the main problem is that the car won't start with the maf (stock sr20det) plugged in. The car will start with the maf unplugged and then when i plug the maf in, it dies again.
Testing voltage: there is 12v going to the maf, and the ground is a good ground. The problem is that there is not 5v going to the white wire.

When the maf is unplugged, i get no error codes. the led on the ecu does light up, and there is continuity from the white wire at the maf to pin 27 at the ECU.

Also last to note is that i had wiring specialites do the wire harness on the car. so i am ASSUMING it was done correctly.

Where would the 5v be coming from? could a relay be bad? ecu bad? any help would be appreciated.

Even if a local had an sr20det maf or a zenki ecu i could try out that might help.
