Exhuast rubs Driveshaft the wrong way.

Hey I have a ssautochrome dual n1 exhaust and the pos rubs on the drive shaft so I've been thinking of getting a new exhaust shortly. To be more exact the resonator on the first section of the exhaust rubs up against the driveshaft... I would say about 5-10 inches back from the diff. Oh, and I have a DSS aluminum driveshaft. I want to stick with a dual tip style so the only two exhausts I've really considered are the apexi dual n1 and the Reinhard dual tip exhaust also most likely with the resonator. I'm concerned the resonators on either exhaust will just end up rubbing the driveshaft the same way as my POS exhaust now. Anyone have any experience with either the actual dual n1 or the Reinhard?

the spot that rubs is right where it splits in two and goes to the resonator (that can't be removed). Top front of the resonator on the passenger side of the exhaust is the driveshaft rubbing bastard spot. If its still not clear where it rubs I suppose I can save the pic and draw where on paint. Anyhow, what I'm worried about is if the resonators on the apexi dual n1 and/or the reinhard dual tip will rub because they appear to be in about the same spot. If the Reinhard unresonated exhaust still has a deep tone and isn't too loud I'd consider forgetting about a resonator.

I have a circuit sports, and I have been happy with it, has dual tip, sounds quite with a turbo motor, and looks kinda stock, until you look under the car and see the 3" piping

I have thought about the circuit sports dual tip but its got the single canister, I'm leaning heavily towards dual mufflers. If I were to find out that both the apexi dual n1 and the reinhard will rub I'd then settle for the circuit sports. Not hating on the exhaust, I just dig the dual muffler sound and look.

Use a hammer and bang some dents until it doesn't rub anymore.

and probably create an exhaust leak when the resonator cracks. If anyone has any experience with either the dual N1 or reinhard and how its fitment is with a single piece drive shaft, please, shed some light.

Yea mine does the same thing. For $150, I'm not complaining. Take it off and hammer the exhaust for clearance if you must.

Also, try to bend the hangers to try to push the exhaust away from driveshaft.

I've never seen these exhaust first hand but haven you tried flipping the first segment just to see if its feasible?

I would definately suggest trying the hanger idea before beating on it with a hammer. I've had to bend hangers/put clamps around hangers to pull them tighter to get that little bit of clearance that you need

I don't really intend on beating on it or bending any hangers. I'm getting a new exhaust, I need some input from someone who has seen/installed/molested an apexi dual n1 or Reinhard dual tip exhaust for an s13 with a one piece driveshaft. I'll probably toss this shitty exhaust on my other s13 once I figure out what I want to do with it so its not like its going to waste. Oh and the hanger that is actually coming off the resonator had snapped off awhile ago. Before anyone claims thats probably why its rubbing, it isn't, its rubbed since the day I put the exhaust on. Oh, also, someone mentioned trying to flip the front section around. No can do, Its bolt pattern is like a trapeziod, so no flipping.

Bump, someone has to have one of these exhausts with a one piece drive shaft.
