Need help making a turbo intake pipe for SR20DET

Hey guys.

I have a S13 K's which is factory Red Top SR20DET.

I'm wanting to upgrade the stock rubber turbo intake pipe with a custom alloy / stainless steel pipe.

Some people say it'll need x2 45 degree bends, and others say 2x 90 degree bends.

Not really done much custom work before, so if anyone with experience about this can help me get on track I'd appreciate it.

Well, if you get one 90 degree bend, you then also have two 45 degree bends, so you can't exactly go wrong.

I have an Apexi "Style" intake, bolts right up to the factory turbo.

Basically just the pipe and the couplers. Never ran it, but it has some scratches from me test fitting it. Doesn't work for my 2871 3 universal turbo.

I've got a greddy intake pipe designed for z32 mafs, didn't fit my setup for some reason.

I just used a single 45° bend with a recirculated port for my set up. You just have to look at what room you have and what path the piping needs to take.

If you're using a cone filter, just get the kit from PSM: http://www.partsshopmax.com/page.php?41

That's what I would have done, but I have an ARC box, so the pipe would have to be an exact fit, not just approximate.
