Gti-R T28 turbo with S14 compressor housing
For sale is a GTiR T28 with S14 compressor housing. S14 compressor housing is often used by the FWD SR guys to let this turbo breathe better up top. FWD guys often put out 350whp with S14 compressor upgrade. But dont forget, thats with FULL BOLT ONS (cams, tuning... etc), and they have a bit less drivetrain loss than us RWD guys.
Turbo was rebuilt about 5000 miles ago. Comes with Inlet and Outlet pipes for direct drop into a RWD SR / KA. Also comes with a S14 adjustable wastegate preset at 8psi. Turbo is in great condition. $430 Last edited by sunnys14; 03-17-2008 at 02:13 PM.. |

So just to clarify, the S14 compressor housing is bigger then the stock GTi-R housing?
I'm waiting to sell some stuff, I think I'll buy this when I sell that stuff.

Yes, this is a step up on the S14-non-BB/S14 BB/S15 non-Spec R turbos, but only by a little bit. It's a journal bearing turbo, but with a more aggressive size to hit ~300whp at ~18lbs with supporting mods (might need mild cams too).
Injector size/power/etc are a function of boost. Run on 10psi or so, you can run it on stock MAF/injectors. After that you should go with some 480/550s and a Z32 MAF, and some engine management.

Gti-R T28 uses the same compressor wheel as the S14/S15 BB T28 (spec-R) but uses a much bigger turbine wheel and housing than the S14/S15 BB T28 (spec-R)also.

Some idiot left this "350whp? You must be joking."
Read what I said up top, thats FWD guys making 350whp not RWD. Their drivetrain loss is like 15% compared to 20ish RWD. Heres a FWD 325whp @ only 16psi: http://www.sr20forum.com/turbo/21774...-think%2A.html |

yea but there would be a compromise between spool time and hp numbers. quick spool = fun

T28 would spool a little quicker but not by much.
On the T28 I can hit 8psi as early as 2700rpm On my t3/t4 57 trim .63AR I hit 8psi by about 3200rpm |
