which would be quicker and who would win?
a 92 240sx base or a 99 accord ex vtec?

i just want to know casue people at my school always think they know everything and stuff. i just want to know who ouwld win? in a straight away

hmm assuming the 240 has a DOHC and not a SOHC, I say the 240 off the line, but the Vtec in the top end... worse comes to worse u can tell ur buddies mom to race ur other buddy with a 240...

raced my brothers 98 maxima v6... had him by a car... he couldn't believe it, so we went again... same result. We raced til third gear only.

I don't think an accord ex is faster than the maxima...
???
p.s. I didn't have a LSD then, and my motor is a SOHC no mods.

hmm i think u might be right. i didnt factor the weight difference lol. if u get a really good launch u'll be good. make sure u have nice tires and slip the clutch out at about 4k rpm or so. good luck and dont kill anybody.

I think it can get a EX... but I have my SOHC 240 and a V6 vetec Accord The Accord has almost a 60HP lead.. stock... I know it would beat my 240... (I can't drive them both at the same time to actually test now can i?) When you get to a turn though... The Accord is like a friggin Brick compaired... This is like compairing apples to oranges anyway the two cars are not even in the same class... my pickup truck can kick both of their asses in a straight line (8.0L V10 Dully) but you never see a 3500 pickup racing a 240 at a drag strip

I raced a new v6 accord in my ca18det S13 coupe from a roll, it kept even but once we got up to 60 mph or so I ate it alive.

practise launching. and make sure u measure the quarter mile distance cause most likely u'll get owned in top end (dont u love those people that keep going just to get pass you even thought its waaaay more than a 1/4 now??).

get a good launch. strip everything out of the car before u race

Like said above...just race the guy and get it over with...you lose, you lose...oh well mod it up and come back to beat him later. Just don't get hurt or kill anybody in the process. Its hard to answer X Vs. Y car and see who is faster isn't it? We have no clue how you or the other drives, any mods and conditon of race.

Hell my SOHC with just stright pipe beat a Acura RSX Type S like a few days ago. Theorectically theres no way in cold hell I should even hang with that car, but the dumb kid with a 30-Days tag couldn't drive the damn thing and got embarassed. A lot more then HP to racing.

I beat an eclipse driving my friend's Mirage at the drag strip, if anybody had posted "eclipse vs mirage" everybody would say eclipse x200000, but it didnt work out like that, just drive.

and make sure you have a camera nearby, cool things always seem to happen when a camera is on.
