There is a difference between cutting a stock spring and an aftermarket spring that has dead coils. If your trimming dead coils there is nothing to worry about font listen to these guys that tell you otherwise.

You dont change the spring constant by cutting it. Otherwise it wouldnt be a constant. If you have a spring with varing coil diameters or distance between coils, the coil you cut will correlate to your new ride characteristic.
So, cut a coil on your spring that has a lower spring rate, bouncier ride. Cut a higher spring rate coil, your ride will be less bouncy, but will bottom out more easily. |

So I had 2 sets of the same eibach springs and let me tell you. Godamn don't cut springs.... they fucken suck!!!
