And now the Lexus 1uz-fe v8 Build BEGINS! AS OF 5/1/14
This will be my first swap so follow on me on this wonderful adventure.

I couldn't pass up this deal for the engine, adapter plate, mr2 flywheel, sr20 clutch, extended TB, ecu, maf, harness, hardware, and motor mounts for $1250. With EGR removed and blocked off.

v8 into s13??? Lets get things started.

Took this shitty fenders off for a wire tuck later.

Wanted to see how my angle looked without the fenders.

Started taking things apart. I have never taken anything apart I just figured it was pretty straight forward. Took out battery, intake, drained fluids and radiator.

Took out upper wiring harness.

She slept for a few days.

Took out the shifter, unhooked vaccum lines, and unbolted the exhaust. And the KA24DE was ready to get pulled.

Dirty ass engine bay. Still in the process of getting a pressure washer to hose it all down.

Took off Lowering Harness since I will need it for the 1uz swap.

Took off transmission.

That night I took off my leaky Steering Rack to find out it was never even centered. So I might have to redo my inner/outer tie rods.

While I was under the car I looked at my coilovers and the damn rubber bushing fell off and my coil is loose now...E-mailed PBM but no response yet.

As of 5/8/14 Ordered:
-Rack and Pinion
-1uz Spark Plugs
-1uz Serpentine Belt (1630) with A/C delete
-KA Koyo Radiator Hoses

Just waiting for parts to arrive and going to purchase some degreaser to start cleaning up the engine bay.

Haha yeah still need to extend my arms and getting longer inners/outers but I'll do that later.
Thanks! More to come. Not backing out on this build.

Still no pressure washer to clean engine bay, but I have some updates:

Stock Throwout Bearing:

Extended Throwout Bearing: *Not Pictured* But I greased up the input shaft, throw out bearing sleeve, and ball pin with White Lithium Grease.

The Difference:

Did a fender wire tuck, I put damp rags on the tire so the sparks don't eat it:

Before I cleaned the engine bay.
The engine bay is now clean HOWEVER I don't have any pictures because while I was cleaning it the hose I was using produced a hole and shot out a fountain onto my phone....and ruined it haha, Just my luck.

I am now getting my power steering put together and then I will be dropping the engine/trans into the bay to get measurements.

Haha How much did you end up spending?

I just like how this engine is so easy to get so it wont be a problem if it blows up or anything.

Yeah man I sure did, gonna eventually have you do the wiring and modding of the Tundra headers. Just waiting on transmission bolts and power steering lines and I'll drop it in.

Got a SOHC power steering line from a friend and it looks like it will fit nicely onto the 1uz, considering it goes on the passenger side.
Waiting on the SOHC P/S return line so it looks a bit better.

High Pressure P/S hoses.
Right: DOHC
Left: SOHC

Using a bell housing adapter and custom flywheel pushes the trans back just a little bit...It needs to be extended to disengage the clutch properly.

Great work. looking forward to seeing it finished.

Extremely easy to wire if you are going with the standard ECU... i had mine wired in a day

p.s. should do good skids, my datto (5-speed 1uz) smokes up ridiculously easily lol

So I had to purchase photobucket plus for unlimited bandwith or it would basically delete all my photos.

The past few days have been annoying with the power steering:
I needed the SOHC return line, but someone gave me the return line,
SOHC pump, and high pressure line for $20. The return line had a kink
I tried fixing it, but that didn't work out.

I ended up going to the junkyard to hopefully find a SOHC 240sx and sure enough I found a pretty damn clean two-tone.

Took the return line and my power steering is finally done, until I drop in the engine.

Finally received parts in the mail.
-KA transmission bolts
-Z32 fuel filter
-32136-U0100 Drive shaft Rear Transmission Seal.

It was a bitch to get out.

Glad I checked the spark plugs.
Out with the old in with the new.

Ka Transmission Mounted and ready to be dropped (or so I thought)

After I installed the new serpentine belt I found something odd about the alternator. The connector was an oval instead of a circular shape like the harness shows. So I found out my engine was a 1992 1uz and not a 1993 1uz. So now I have to return the 93 alternator and purchase a 92 1uz alternator.

Finally a full day off I got the chance to drop the engine into the s13!

I should have taken off the engine harness before dropping it in.

However I do need to adjust my engine mount. Its leaning too much on the passenger side and causing the P/S pulley to hit the battery tray (I will have to grind this out).

As you can tell that engine mount is causing my transmission to lean as well.

Just gotten align everything and it'll be off to get wired.

I agree. Too bad the garage where my car is at won't allow me to paint.
