Fuel Pump keeps priming!!!
A little history on the car. i have a s13 sr20 with a AEM EMS V2 installed with MAP and IAT. Before this problem the car would prime normally and the car would start normally. Im tuning this friday so i double check all hoses and found out that my IACV was leaking so i ordered in a new one and replaced it. After the replacement thats when the problem started. Now my car wont start and the fuel pump keeps priming. I replaced the EGI relay and it worked at first, but then when i try to crank the car it just clicks and starter does not engage. After this my fuel pump would just keep priming again. I've read that most likely it's a bad ecu. I dont have my old ecu so i cant confirm that. Could someone help me please so i can get it tune this friday??!! I'm at a lost as to what could cause this. I have my 2 grounds on my intake manifold off the harness, ground from intake manifold to chassis and ground behind the head all bolted down. Also, every time my fuel pump primes, my battery gets weaker and on the 4th prime my battery would be out of juice. Checked the battery with a meter and it's giving me 11.89 volts. thanks for any inputs!!

Your battery has not enough juice to power your starter motor most likely.
On a stock ECU, fuel pump not stopping means bad ECU/bad mapping / wrong address file used. But you are not running that. |

Thanks for the reply, trying out a new battery today to see if my car would start, I suspected the battery for the not starting issue. I'm going to do more trouble shooting after work and see what I can come up with. I don't think the AEM would be the suspect of this, at least I hope not..

I agree with the battery suggestion. If you have a spare good battery swap it out to confirm. Your other battery may be on its way out or in need of a good charge.

Figure it out?
I have a AEM standalone also. I've had the same issue and can't figure it out. My car starts and runs though. What did you find out that was wrong with yours??
