Is it a 5 speed or automatic transmission? If its a 5 speed, you'll have to bypass the clutch pedal sensor that tells the car the pedal is fully depressed. Did it work for him and now it doesn't, or did he never get it to work? We need more info to answer your question.

Shit, could be all kinds of things if you're not even sure if it worked before. It could never have been wired for it properly or might not have even been set for it.

My Viper alarm, I have tap the brakes and pull the e-brake and preset the remote start before I get out of the car or else it wont even try to start the car later on.

PS: Looked some info on it and looks like you do have to set it prior to stepping out of the car (Reservation Mode) to be able to use it. But at the same time, it has to be programmed by a dealer initially. I suggest you download the manual for the alarm you have an read up on it.

Well he said it worked, but he just never used it. he took it Aspen Sound I believe was the name of the place he took it to get it put in I have the paper work for when they did it. The manual says I have to hold the brake, let off of it then pull the E-brake to initiate it, I believe it's been awhile since I've looked at it. And when I do it correctly the car will still run after I take the key out of the ignition and the car will turn off and lock when the door is closed.

So if its not going into Reservation Mode, then either you're doing something wrong or the guy you bought the car from lied to you. If I was in your shoes, I'd go directly back to the shop and see if they atleast show you if you're doing something wrong or have them check the settings.

Ok. I'll do that next time I'm out that way where the shop is. I know the Clutch pedal sensor is bypassed. Because my buddy did it for me so I don't have to hold down the clutch to start the car normally.

Just remember to keep that bitch in nuetral when you park it for the night, my nieghbor from way back in the day installed all kinds of goofy shit on his car, full 15 pieces of flair and all, including a remote start. He wanted to see what would happen if he left his car in gear and hit the remote start. Fortunately he was smart enough to sit in the car when he attempted this, as the car took off until it started and would have just idled away had he not been inside it. Food for thought, as funny as it would be, it would be more unfortunate to see you back on here looking for help to remove your car from your living room.

Ran into a similar problem with viper alarm, the starter and ignition has two wires running to it. The guy at best buy and I tried figuring this out. I had tapped onto one and nothing. I had to tap on the one that was connected to my turbo timer. So try both wires see which one works.
