What are the goals for the car? You've mentioned stroker, built motor, and twin turbo. I thought you were going for the drop in simplicity and power of a NA LSx.

^^ I am thinking long term... knowing me I will want more power as like everyone does... This will be a couple of years before I go stoker but I am going to be running NA for a while, and then when I feel like I can Handle more power on the track I will make the switch..

The reason I choose the LS1 is cause of the reliability of the motor and instant torque, not because of the simplicity.. The VQ is not reliable by any means.

Okay since its kind of in the mid of the week I decided to update this thread with a little tease pic of my new wheels that are on the way..

Now these are going to be my show wheels/ meet wheels. Specs are

19x11 0 offset
19x13-20 offset

I am in the process of buying about 8-12 wheels ( of course DPEs) for drift spares. These will be 18x9.5 - offset and 18x12- offset.. (and they will be all black too)

Hope you guys like..

Not gonna lie Edafe, don't really like the new wheels but maybe they'll look better on the car. You think you're going to take it to Wekfest? We're going to have to hit up the Flying Saucer when you come up, too.

The extreme concave floating spoke design is a bit iffy to me as well, I bet it will look mean as fuck in pictures and sitting on them but that's gotta make the wheel heavy as shit. I could be wrong and they could be TE light.

I have not gotten them yet in person but I don't care if this set is heavy,, These are just for shows and meets and some daily driving.. Kind of like marketing for DPE.. I am about to get about 8-12 wheels from DPE for drifting 18s of course and those will be the main ones I will be rocking at events..

Also trust me I wont sell this car I will def finish this build..

Trying to make Wekfest, If it does I know for a fact it wont be running but the body will be good to go and will look the part.. But if I don't get somethings done in time I wont make it..

Well there has been some gains with big ass cams, (which I have). But I got it mainly for my future plans for this motor..

STAGE 1: Phase 6 'Coils/Spark Plugs and Wires'

Happy Labor day guys/girls!!! So I thought I would do this quick update before I start BBQing.

Lets kick it off with the beer of the week, which is Magic Hat 'Summer: Wacko',, Great summer beer has a big malty aroma, a subdued hop bite and a clean, slightly sweet finish.. Def good with BBQs

Today's update is a small one. I am going to install my coil packs, spark plugs and wires.

MSD Plug Wires and NGK spark plugs: $79.99
Coils and bracket:$115.00

So I got the bracket and it was the wrong one. No problem, I'll just make new holes to mount the up. Also painted the bracket a gold finish..

I think it came out pretty good..

mount up the coils and then install to the cover..

next is the spark plugs, which i think every one knows how to install.

Next is the spark plug wires..

And there you have it..

other side done

I really like how the gold looks...

Total price so far: $6,089.16
