If you are going to do it why take no pride in your work. This looks like shit. I dont care if you say its a track car, thats not a excuse. You could have easily done it alot nicer by using some handles from a car with manual windows.
BUT you already seem to know that since you mentioned let the flaming begin. A effort F for execution. |

well the problem with using a handle from another car is i had to make an extension from the crank at the window
i have not been able to find any that are pre-made the entire thing is custom made and i don't have a welder or that would have been possible without question as for the tape i made the hole too big in the door panel and it was a quick cover up i have the intention of repairing the door properly but it takes money i don't have right now all in all i spent 40 bucks on material and recycled a lot of parts as for downgrading from power it was worth it to me the custom aspect was a lot of fun it was more of a challenge to see if i could do it more than anything and besides how many people switch to a manual transmission since auto is luxury... |

Manual is for the driver who likes driving. It makes the overall driving experience more involved and for people like me, more fun. Nothing about a manual window is performance orientated. The job itself made the interior of the car look like dick. On top of that... you no longer have the luxury of automatic windows. Don't make stupid comparisons like that without giving them some thought. Edit: A friend just told me.. "This is like someone putting training wheels back on a bike. 'Who's done this?' Who gives a fuck." |

like you said to each his own on appearance...
and the comment about the manual transmission was more of a smart ass comment than a real comparison but again each part suits each person auto transmissions are very popular in drag racing because of the consistency but again it is case by case luxury is a personal opinion i spend maybe 40 bucks on supplies and a window motor costs about 150 at auto zone here in AZ so i saved money and i learned a lot along the way and i have a personal issue with auto windows "can't roll them up without the power on" as for the interior if i wanted it to be perfect which it was not to begin with the car has been beat to shit by the Arizona sun the dash and door panels are cracked and the previous owned rode with his arm in the window you can see where it rubbed it's gross i would have bought a new everything... |
