Motegi wheels? They sell those at pep boys pbtt..
But overall your car is dead sexy and hardcore. Paint it and peel off all the stickers and it will be a suitable mate. At least you resisted the urge to put a huge cessna wing on the back. Congrats.

You would think that a car with a goddamn skyline engine, an rb26, would have better equipment. It seems to me that it has a bunch ricer mods (ie. hybrid intercooler, autometer, motegi);and not that it's bad stuff, just expected more quality shit. If I were to buy this car I would take off those bullshit stickers, paint it black, get a greddy fmic, some hks or blitz gauges, and some deep ssr proffessors and get some suspension done too... then it'd be the ill shit.

Oh and p.s.: The starting bid was said to start at 25k, there's no way anyone in their right mind that would pay 25k for that car. I would rather get a Z or a Supra, or a TT SC300 for thousands less.

I dont mind, I appreciate the feedback whether I disagree or not...
I like the two-tone, many don't...but many do... Obviously it got mag attention, so it must not be too hideous... I didn't want the plain look that I know many on here prefer, as I guess I'm not trendy.. I wanted something different and that stands out, whether others don't like or not.. I don't care... At NOPI, we were asked about shooting the car from both Super Street, Import Tuner, Import Racer, C16, and Nopi mag... Neil, from HCI, is a good guy and I have known him for two years... So, it was no question of loyalty when he asked me early on Saturday morning to shoot it.. I turned down SS and Importer, and the rest tuner later that day... As the car sits, and I will post some pics...the graphics were installed at NOPI and pulled off when we got home... The car was taken straight from McKinney's shop in CA and brough to NOPI. McKinney finished the car four days before NOPI... Obviously, it was being used for advertisement, so we weren't really concerned about the boost controller, etc as it wasn't going to be driven for another week.. We barely made it there like it sat..but yes, I wish they could have taken a picture of something else in its place.. I had to laugh when I got the article.. The boost controller is now hooked up...and the car is set to 15 PSI... The exhaust is the Apexi GT Spec 3.75" exhaust... If there is anything else I can answer, let me know... |

97-98 s14 with s15 front end? cant seem to understand the benefit in going from projector to projector, and going with a front end that really doesnt ADD to the look of the S14. imo, the 97-98 looks perfect.. and that s15 *IS* trendy, which you say you arent, but... i disagree.
if you werent trendy, you'de try to make this a drivers car and not such a "carbon-fiber-is-it-real-or-is-it-fake-but-hey-still-look-at-me" car. I'm not a big fan of fiberglas with cf vaneer.. that word, vaneer.. bothers me. unless its dry cf, it doesnt do much for me. the boost controller cought my eye, i laughed and thought to myself "what is that thing for?" okay, best of luck to you bro.. enjoy your big toy model and have fun parking it in your garage, must make cool noises when you turn it on and move it in and out of your garage. hehe |

I guess it's okay for people impressed with "look at me, I spent a lot of money" styling... Personally, color me unimpressed

seriously though, you do claim to not be trendy. you're not trendy if you are talking about people that build cars to be functional. ie those on here. but we are a small minority. most kids build cars to be showoffs, and you have their trendy mods on there it seems. and with all those mods you're only running 15 psi? At least he takes criticism well. Chris, I don't know you but after your stock went down IMHO from a few things you are back up to even with me after I read your reply. Hope you get what you want for it when you sell it. I saw that one Enkei silvia on ebay like 6 times and that 410 hp ugly orange s14 on ebay about 3 times. I don't think either sold as they wanted more than 20K. Good luck!

Yes, they are stock turbos... I know you don't know much about this motor Nismo2491, but you don't wanna take ceramic GTR turbos past 1 bar...
unless you want them in your motor.. . RBS14, the car has Apexi N1 coils, since we are sponsored by Apexi...which is why I have lots of their parts on the car... going with Megan probably wouldn't be the brightest move when trying to keep sponsors... |

you're right I don't know much about that motor.
but its still a motor and a nissan one at that, so I do know general stuff about it. I'm just wondering why you spent all that money on those internals but never upgraded the turbos? I understand where you are coming from only running 1 bar if they will grenade themselves like that, but why not upgrade to bigger ones? KEvin

If you're sponsered by Apexi You could have gotten the "ISAMU" TURBO RX6B KIT for RB26DETT
TCW76L/TCW77L TWIN HIGH-POWER VERSION.

Wow. I love this place. So rutheless.
I've seen this car in person, and you really have to see it to believe it. It is incredible. I watched it run at only, what, 7 or 8 pounds of boost. And, oh yeah, this keeps the twin turbos. Sure, they'll get ditched soon for more power, but not many 240-RB conversions can keep the twins. The car is really nice. Chris, I've said it before and I'll say it again. Excellent work with the car. I don't like the two-tone myself, but that's your perogative. The car looks so much better in person, though. I wanted to see it run at full boost, though, before you sold it. Oh well. In any event, the project was a complete success. It showcased all the things that Underground Motorsports can do. Any way you look at it, its one helluva shop car. And, sure, I may be a little biased. But, damn, I'd drive the HELL out of that car, no matter who built it, even if it DID come from ARKANSAS! |

doesnt matter where something is built or who builds it, what matters is the end product. marco vargas has built some of the nicest cars i've seen, i'de take one of his creations any day.

Damn if the guy wanted to build a showcar then let him be. Sure theres the people that build them and will drive them across country for a show, obviously he's not one of them big deal. Im not feeling the 2-tone but you like it so more power to you. I give you a lot of props on the build, the s15 front end looks really good on there also. Good luck with the r33.

Won't comment on the car... since it seems everyone else has... but I agree with mike... what matters is the end product... odd that HCI would focus on the disconnected solenoid hahahaha

Tonight I had the opportunity to race a Noble M12....We were both at a car show today in Florida and after the event, he pulled up to me at a stoplight..
It was a good run, and I am so impressed with the Nobles..They are lightning fast, 0-60 mph in 3.8 secs, absolutely sick... I was running 15 PSI and he beat me by a car length... We only ran up through the top of my second gear as we were in Destin, FL (heavily populated tourist town) and traffic was bad... But for a quick sprint, it was a good run... I am really impressed with the 240SX, but I am constantly fighting traction issues.. I am trying to work out my wheel spin problem..so we shall see.. |

But, coming from Arkansas, we don't get to see anything of this caliber... It was too tempting to resist... |

maybe if you ditched the 18s you'd get less wheel hop and more traction? which BFG tire is it? personally, i am not a fan of their tires.. i'm into yokohama, dunlop, and bridgestone.. but i cant comment since it doesnt say which BFG tire is on there. hehe 18s for off the line racing, comedy. |
