1992 240sx starting problem
well I recently bought me my first 240sx coupe and a couple days later I started having a starting problem, first I thought it was my starter since I could hear is a cranking like noise from my starter so I change that and my car started running fine for awhile until it started like stalling or bogging like action whenever I start the car and dies. So right now I'm stuck thinking I have a fuel problem. right now I'm assuming I could have a bad fuel injector or bad fuel pump. I use the old trick to put a screwdriver on the fuel injector and hear from the other end if you could hear a buzzing noise to see if it works and I could to all of them. Also I'm hearing like a moaning kind of noise coming from my fuel pump, I'm here trying to gather more opinion to see on what others people thoughts about this since I'm still learning more about cars. right now I'm thinking of replacing my fuel pump. please correct me if I'm wrong.
Just adding in that I change: spark plug fuel filter added that chevron fuel injector cleaner please and thank you, zilvia gurus |

Leaky Injector

Check your IACV and the large vacuum line leading to it from the front of the intake manifold. The IACV valve is behind the intake manifold, attached to the bottom half of it. It comes off in 4 10MM bolts, buy some brake cleaner and go to town cleaning that shit.
Also listen for and hissing or air suction sounds from engine bay as this could indicate a vacuum leak |

You should check your fuel pressure. Also, does it start up without throttle and dies, sometimes bogging and dies? I had this happen recently and it was my idle screw that was way in. Maybe letting that screw out all the out till it's flush with the outside rim on the iacv, and see what that does. Then readjust to proper idle.
