Can you guys recommend some must see places and must eat food/restaurant?

I live in it - price ranges help tremendously, it's easy to recommend somewhere that will cost an arm and a leg.

Also types of food you are interested in would help.

There's some mobile food trucks that are worth their weight in gold but will require some footwork as they move on different days that are cheap.

There are famous restauraunts that are kinda MEH and overpriced.

MANHATTAN:
soho, china town, east village, 9th- 10 ave from the 30's - 50th st. all have tons TONS of food/bars.

queens :check out flushing for asian food, so good spots can be found.

long island: has some nice places too but it depends where in NY you will be staying,

in manhattan you can easily spend a few weeks exploring it..

Manhattan -
53rd and 6th Halal Food Cart
Shake Shack
Chinatown Ice Cream Factory for Asian flavored ice cream (lychee, black sesame, to name a few)

Brooklyn -
L&B Spumoni or Grimaldi's for pizza/pasta

Queens -
Picnic Garden for all you can eat KBBQ

Places to see - Museum Mile, if you're into that stuff (Museum Mile, New York City - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)

Never been to the Bronx and Staten Island much so can't comment on those two places.

I've been to NYC many times.
My sister use to live on the upper west side
Before she move back to Hollywood.
I'm talking my wife there and it's her 1st time there and I want to show her
Some tourist stuff and eat what the locals consider
Good food.
I know there are some expensive places,
I would take her to a couple but I just want her
To have the NYC experience.
Thank you all for the suggestions

Btw I'll be staying near soho/china town area

Let me rephrase the questions.
If you are moving far away for good which
Places would you eat before you go?

If you have a relative or friend visiting where
Would you take them to show NYC experience?
Thanks guys

I'd have to make a pit stop at :: Welcome ::

53rd and 6th is getting over rated but it's worth having once, but don't be a rube and stand on the long line, across the street towards 5th is the same cart with a shorter line.

Wafels & Dinges - Home is worth finding

if you're in soho El Maguey Y La Tuna Restaurant | 10009 | New York - FREE Mexican Delivery has great authentic mexican food

Joya - Brooklyn Restaurant - MenuPages Thai, Vegetarian-Friendly Restaurant Search is worth a trip into brooklyn for thai food

Brasserie Les Halles home base of Chef-at-large Anthony Bourdain is worth a visit

https://plus.google.com/+BurgerJointNewYork/about for a hamburger or Island Burgers and Shakes- Home of the Chicken Churrasco

also if you are in soho and bored on a fri/sat at midnight check out Landmark - New York

Go to the AutoShow in nyc
Jacob Javits Convention Center 11th ave
between 34 & 40 Streets

but it runs till the 7th of April,
INFO: New York International Auto Show - Show Info - General Info

you could walk out, get stamped, and walk to some restaurants enjoy asian, or greek food, then come back, the building is very big, dont forget to go downstairs, they got Gumball 3000 scenes and some hooked up cars, got a test drive show outside, etc.
