Wiring/Electrical person needed in Miami asap!
I have swapped my car a few days ago and im having issues now with my charging system. Checked battery and alt twice and appear to be 100% as per local auto parts testing.
When I stop at a red light my (battery) light comes on, then when I accelarate it goes out. Something is not charging the battery and dont think it can be the alt. Please help me. Thanks! |

when your at idle, when you rev the motor does the light go out. if so it sounds like your voltage regulator in the alt is bad. if you got a volt meter do a quick check.
hook up the leads to the battery posts check reading at idle with no loads (should be about 13.2-14.1) check with loads on should be same readings as above. then have some one rev the car to 3000k rpms should be same readings above if anything lower or higher than ur alt is bad. not sure what swap u did, but i remember my belt snapping on my s13 with an sr20 and kept replacing my alt like 5 times. ended up being my fusible links in the fuse box in the engine bay hope this helps i live in pompano if u need hlp in person |
