SR Check spark with CAS?

I know if you put the key to the 'ON' position and rotate the CAS you can hear the injectors click or spray fuel (if the fuel pump fuse isn't pulled). Can you also check for spark the same way? Just pull the coil packs, throw a spark plug in them and rotate the CAS?

check spark another way.

pull the plugs out with the coilpacks still on them.. run a ground wire to the plugs (on the threads is fine) then crank the engine. have someone look for spark.

As far as injector pulse, buy some noid lights. the bosch one will work on a nissan injector harness plug.

You wouldn't have spark either way if the ECU was having a problem with the CAS right? If there was a problem and the ECU was throwing a code 11 (CAS), it wouldn't ground the injectors either right?

if you dont have spark, the engine has a safety feature that it wont give it fuel so it doesnt load up.

engine cranks, CAS spins, sends signal to ecu, ecu to ignitor chip, ignitor chip to coil pack, coil pack to plug. BAM - spark.

make sure the fuel line that goes to the end of your fuel pressure regulator is the return line aka not the fuel line that has the fuel filter on it.

it may throw a code 11 also if the base timing is not correct. it doesn't always mean the cas is bad.
