'90 300zx VLSD

Ok, I have a friend that has a 1990 300zx, he bought a newer one for the transmission and motor and changed the Dif. out.. He is telling me he will sell his 90 NA differential to me for $20 an old lady drove the car before he got it and the motor was hydro locked.. I think that is a pretty good deal on a good dif. his dad just wants to throw it away so he may just give it to me. Anyways I need to know if there is anything I need to check to make sure it is in good shape and will fit in my car. I have a 1993 240sx base model I think (no power no lsd no rear wiper, etc.) Just wanna know if I am getting a good dif. before i put it in my car. And I also want to verify the pre 1995 J30 axles/output shaft? if not someone tell me what is right plz. Thanks, Tim

be very wary when someone says "an old lady drove it". That is the biggest line in the book.
