RB25 S13 no spark issue
Alright guys I'm having another problem, I ditched the Chase Bays harness and picked up someone elses homemade wiring harness and ECU combo that came out of a running car(or so they say). I tossed everything in the car and turned the key and voila! the ECU lit up(a signal that I have yet to see with this swap), turned it to start and nothing. The starter wouldn't turn over. So I ran a hot wire to the solenoid with the key in the on position, can see the fuel lines jumping, and when I run the starter through, it doesn't start.
I pulled off one of the coil pack plug and hooked it up to a spare pack and spark plug, and nothing, no spark. I have the coil pack harness grounded, the wiring harness grounded to the intake mani, and the block grounded to the chassis. I checked power to the coils and I have 12v and a good ground to all coils, but I do not know how to check the signal wires. I have a spare ignitor and tried both and no change, and I have a spare CAS and tried it and no change. If someone could tell me how to check all the signal wires for the coils I will do that, or if you have any other ideas please help me out! I've been trying to get this car started for months and I just can't figure it out. I'm pretty sure all my fuses and relays are good, the wiring harness was missing the two relays, ECCS and IGN relays I believe, but I managed to find a couple that are both 30 amp 12v relays so I imagine that they work fine. If anyone has any questions or ideas please help me out!! Thanks for reading all this if you made it this far! |

Jeez, good luck Mike, just got mine up and running this weekend. I ended up going with WS pre-made harness and car started up within 5 seconds of the initial crank up.

if you jump the stater you need to turn the key at the same time and it should run.
