SR S13 sr20 wont start

I know I just read a thread with someone having the same issue or something pretty close but when I go to start the car you can hear the fuel pump prime and my radio and dash lights come on but I get nothing from the starter you can hear the ignition relay click also I checked the power the starter and it has 12.4 volts. I even jumped the starter and you can hear the starter turn over but it turns over slowly. Right now I’m guessing there's a short between the ignition relay and the starter or I need a new battery any suggestions?

If your battery is pumping 12.4 volts it should be fine.

Was this a swap you just did and your having this problem ? Or have you had this setup for awhile and suddenly have this occur ?

If you put power directly to the starter from the battery and it cranked slowly there may be excessive resistance on the crank. Like somethings tigher in there then it should be. But if your sure its not that, then its electrical.

When you say jumped the starter are you sayng you directly hooked up the battery to the starter leads ?

I had a similar issue with my sr20 mine ended up being a leaky injector I guess wen the fuel pump would prime the fuel rail the injector would already be leaking causing my cylinder to fill with fuel and the car wouldn't crank over because the cylinder can't push the gas thru the rings I also thought it was my starter cause it wouldn't turn over but you can Check for this its real easy just pull the spark plugs and check for fuel hope this helps.
