s13 shifter seperate?
does the shift pole or bar separate between the black larger piece and the metal ball end? I am trying to install a new transmission rubber boot and the hole is so small. the boot is not the one visible in the picture. btw this is not my picture I just used it for an example.

you could always do it the proper way and put the shifter in and then boot over. if the hole is too small for that i'd say either cut the boot to size or get a new shifter or new boot.

This. For future reference, you can take the shifter apart farther than it is in the picture. The ball and shaft are held together by a very thick urethane based glue. |
