alright so I have a bunch of pics here for those of you reading to enjoy

when I first got her

did basic maintence on it. drove around like that thinking I was king shit lol

picked up a B&M short shift from Don @ PDM, a matching set of leathers for my the shifter and ebrake from Redline goods, and a CF Nismo shift knob

picked up a set of ML320 front sidemarkers because I was cheap and I read somewhere that these worked, turns out they were about the same price as clear markers made for a 240 lol

Also picked up a set of Origin tail lights

fast forward a few months and my girlfriend and I broke up,
the best way to get over the pain of a breakup, brand new coilovers!!

I was happy, coilovers in, and the car was lower.

I knew nothing about setting proper ride height back then, it was later fixed haha

Picked up a some JDM turn signals, which later got me my first VI because the cop said " this car is imported from Japan and the white running light looks blue"
it was broad daylight on a august day. and I have a Canadian 240...
shortly after I picked up a CF hood also.

I was in one of the shops in Vic one day and the owner convinced me to swap in a SR.
So I bought it and I waited about a month before swapping it in. My KA's thermostat packed it in and it ran warm one day, and it gave me a excuse to swap it in haha.

Its just a plain jane redtop from a 91 Silvia. I was so dead set against one, my original plan was a rb25, then to turbo the KA, but I got a good deal on this and to this day I don't regret it.
picked up a top-speed manifold from a buddy for my T25 and a HKS wastegate and ran 12psi.

for a while I was working in Alberta in GP but spring breakup came around and I didn't have enough work to keep afloat so I moved back to BC. Had to sell my CF hood till I got another job which sucked but that's life.
I def noticed a difference in acceleration with the stock hood back on though. Also picked up a Zenki lip, painted it a bunch of different colors, I was gonna repaint the car white with a blue bottom, the blac, then all silver...but couldn't be bothered to go through prepping a car for paint again so those idea's were just a pipe dream.

Also picked up some FN's, love them as a wheel, first non kal-tire wheels the car got
Rolled the rears out to fit the wider tires

gas station shot

I like this shot for some reason

I bought a house, it had a big shop which was my selling point
decided its time to invest in a powdercoating setup from Eastwood
did my Vlave cover in Starlight blue over raw aluminum

Picked up a set of 26mm 300 brakes, rebuilt and powdercoated them also

Also upgraded to a 5lug setup, S14 front hubs with S13 bearing machined in, and Z32 rear. Also upgraded the brakes to a 300zx 30mm fronts with 350Z Track rotors up front and 300zx rears with ebrake setup.

Also installed some Kaigsai (sp ) auto fender braces

At this point my car has been off the road for around 3 years ( Life again )

I picked up Battle Version Arms for the suspension, well the rest of them, I bought the RUCA's new from PDM shortly after getting my coilovers, but the rest off members on Zilvia.

Picked up some Varrstoen's, not a fan of black wheels, had them powdercoated white with metallic clear, which is more like rainbow flake. they look great in the sun, but hard to catch on camera

Did some rust repair on the drivers side rear quater. took the arch from a 180sx. the original guy that cut the metal then weld it in, but halfway through he got scared and adbandened the project, I had to get my other buddy to come in a finish it.

put the suspension, brakes back in and put the wheels on was very happy on that day, she was getting closer to being road ready again.

Picked up a body kit from Mats, ED front and sides and Bmagic rear
Put some DMAX position lights in the front bumper with the turn signal built in. I had bought a set of Type X turn signals from CamryonBronze but ended up not using them yet.

Installed my Blitz FATT and Defi water temp gauge, EGT and Oil Pressure still have to be installed

I had some 30mm Origin over fenders for the rear that I bought years ago, so I installed those. and got the rest of my kit on,

Bought a Megan CF roof spoiler

and picked up a Dmax stlye hood. the fitment was really good, couple small blemishes but the bodywork quickly fixed that.

I had picked up a S15 turbo off Russel @ Nissanparts, a couple years ago, and ordered a ISIS V2 manifold as I sold my topspeed one.
witht he ISIS manifold I had to make a spacer for the turbo to fit, which pushed my exhaust down real low. which caused it to rub on everything
so I started looking for a good manifold and my buddy happened to be selling a used Tomei manifold for 75 bucks, can't say no to that

New gaskets, think these are Circuit sports ones this time, first time I used all Nissan OEM gaskets but they cost a fair amount lol

Installed my Tru Boost and Wideband, the boost soleniod went, had to exchange that, fixed a lot of boost problems lol and the sensor for my wideband is on a angle
as its a shitty Option Imports downpipe, and I bent the sensor goign over a bump. its why its reading 10.0, has since been fixed

Aero Catch Hood pins in!!

Rolled like this for a month

Decided its time to paint this baby, back to facotry colors. 4 colors attracts the wrong attention.

fixed some surface rust first.

the black peices get refreshed with this

from a honda oddesy, had the blue pearl content increased. Mirros wiper arms, shrouds, upper door trims, tail light housing b pillar covers, and hood pins were painted this.

side by side with the factory silver

Started to prep the car for paint

IN THE BOOTH!! I did the prep work myself, so when I brought the car to my painter, he gave me news that it still needed a lot of work. But I was on a deadline as I had
to go back to work. So he worked some magic and got the doors straight, and headlight covers smoothed out. which was the worst of it. He painted the hood underneath,
and doors and rear quaters in primer first. then sprayed color and clear to the bottom of the hood so it won't be white when I open the hood.

bought a couple shirts from Eat Sleep Boost love these haha

Car is out of the booth all pretty and nice

( Not using those spacers anymore, I switched over to Bings 10mm hubcentric ones )

some pics of the trim

wetsanded and polished and waxed up

witht he car all wetsanded and polished, then waxed, it was time to put it all back togeather
I put the updated S14 decal on the back, suits the car I thinks.

Pinstriping back on

all put back togeather!! love it. Also put a new trunk release cable in as when I painted the trunk in the wintertime ( color matched tot he exterior, the cable was broken. )
but a fun fact, when you paint over the factory sound deadening with the KG1, it turns gold.

I like this one, even witht he skirts just hanging there, no door trim, and pinstriping half done haha

Ordered some speaker adapters from car-speakeradapters.com, got the 5 1/4 ones. great fitment, could not ask for a better peice.
installed some Pioneer speakers to replace my blown 4x6 JBL's

Thats the exterior done. Happy with how it looks. When I get home from work I have a set of Tomei 256 cams to put in and a N15 Throttle body. and I bought a set of Bride Stradia II reps from a Charles,
once the seats are in, the Interior is done, tenantivly, I might get a Cusco bolt in cage that wraps the dash.
The Suspenion is mostly done just want a set of Nismo front and rear lower control arms.
Next up is Motor upgrades, tuning, new tires and an alignment as I have never had one done on the car, all by eye which is amazing as the car drives pretty straight.

OH! I did pick up a new transmission to swap in. 03 350Z ( got it for a steal couldn't say no ) and I have a S15 Spec R diff on the way over with a 3.69 R&P. Just have to swap in my Cusco
2way. So if anyone wants to donate a adapter to go from SR block to VQ trans

^ I'm pretty stoked to swap it in, have to wait a bit though as my wedding is coming up in August so I'm putting more money towards that so the wife really enjoys the day

bought a set of Bride Stradia 2 seats though

they are replica's sadly, but even real Brides are not FIA approved unless its a full bucket and I just use this more for a daily instead of track car.

looked around, called everyone in Canada and the US and no one had Bride rails, the LR ones. all had a wait to July and it was over 400 bucks for the rails then another 160 to ship them.

so I looked on Yahoo Japan and found a set for 130 bucks each. Score!! emailed the links to my buddy and he placed the order, with the shipping, fee and cost of rails I was at 400 shipped. can't wait to install these. next up for the interior is to finish putting in my Defi's and find a cusco cage

Looks good, always wondered what mine would look like if i went 180sx front.

What are your plans for it? Keep it as a street car or track use? Seems too tidy to be tracked.

not sure if you know. But it is recommended to NOT wax your car for at least 30 days after fresh paint. A buff and polish should be fine after wet sanding. It "can" cause problems. Just an fyi. Here is a good little read.

Thanks guys!!
My old job was a 22/8 shift, so the car had lots of time to cure before I wetsanded, polished and waxed it .
I would like to track it and see how I do, not going to missle it or aim for walls, so my be nascar-ing it around the track for a bit. would like to do more of a road course race track but there aren't many options in my area so for now its a street car

Bought a DIF clutch line and new slave, finally after 8-9 years I ditched the dammed clutch dampener, clutch pedal feels so much nicer now Also replaced the wheel bearing in the front driver and LCA and hub on the rear passenger, drives way nicer now. its the little things that make the car smoother.

still trying to tweek my AEM boost controller so I can run 12-14 psi instead of 9-10 but it still huals ass right now and is getting compliments so I'm not going try to fix something that isn't really broken.
I am taking it to my buddy Evan tomorrow to have my Downpipe/elbow welded together and shortened so it sits closer tot he frame then having him cut and modify my beautiful Buddy Club Spec 3 exhaust so that it sits better and the tip goes past the bumper and everything looks and is proper

I'll get some more pics up for your viewing pleasure!!

rear hub went, was knocking on fender wells pretty good.
out with the old

in with the new!!

see the difference? I bought them off ebay, told they were Z32 hubs, when I got them found out they are S14 rear hubs. told him, he was arguing that I had TTZ32 hubs not the NA ones. I was able to make them work by cutting off the tab of the shot hub so my brakes work nicely
which brings me to this!!

this would be why my ebrakes weren't working so well

put my Tomei 256 cam`s in

took it for a rip, soooo much torque / fast and furious voice.

fixed that fairly easy, beleive that the nut just backed off and fell off then on a good hard pull the mount just popped out. no way my little SR would make enough power to destroy a nismo mount.

took a couple pics of her in my shop that I like.

and some decal love!! stole from a S14 ( well new from FRSport, but you get the idea. )

anyone know where to get a chrome "NISSAN" badge for the rear ? all I can find is the Hamburger ones.

oh and a fun fact!! I painted the inside of my trunk last winter, no cover at all on the glass that was proper, so as a result my windsheild, rear window, and rear side windows were coated pretty good with clear coat. If you take a steel wool that's for doing dishes, some soapy water that will take off clear coat off glass with no scratches or harm to glass, and it is fast.

I would get some action shots, but all my friends are busy haha

THREAD FROM THE DEAD

Hey Im just curious, did you have your car resprayed straight OEM KG1? Or was it a custom mix? Thinking of going KG1 on my car (currently LH1), but a lot of the pics I have found, KG1 looks a lot more of a bland "silver" color, where as your car seams to have a lot higher blue content

I went with the OEM color. there is a differnce between old sunfaded paint and fresh new paint though. I took some pictures of my hoo against my new hood. As I left my old hood with the original paint for now you can see how close they are.

heres a little update of pics.

I swapped out my Tomei expreme for a HKS manifold, due to the PBM cobra pipe sitting to close, I noticed a fairly big differnce in power though, the Tomei seemed to spool faster then my HKS manifold.

I will be switching out to a Top-mount setup over the winter break, I got a great deal on a Full Race topmount single wastegate twinscroll setup. So I'll grab a GTX3071R T3 mount .78 AR turbo and a Tial MVR 44mm wastegate and run that setup and sell off my HKS manifold and the 2560 I have now. once thats done I'll grab a 70mm Greddy intake manifold for my N15 throttle body, and then install my 350Z trans. should make for a fun playtoy in the summer.

as I go I'll get more pics!

Ahh I see. I had a feeling it was due to the sun fade and lighting. I appreciate the response, the car is looking awesome!

Thank you, I think what your seeing is the Pearl coming out more in the sunlight, its a strange setup, Nissan says Silver with blue pearl, but insurance sees it as a blue car. in shop light or unnatural light you have to really light up to see the pearl, but in the natural sunlight it really shows the blue pearl.

people look at you funny when you tell them its a Silver car though haha.
If your painting over fiberglass, make sure you use a good sealer and primer and its all sanded nice and smooth.it really shows between steel and fiberglass.
