240sx kouki advice

What's up guys I'm new to the 240sx game(coming from Bmw scene), I recently found a 97 240sx Kouki w/ automatic transmission and am really thinking about making the purchase, but saw a few things that caught my attention and I know that you guys are pretty good around these cars
New to 240sx game with a BIG question, first of all the car didn't start at first, after a jump the car drove perfectly fine. There is a weird burnt area near the gaspump and I have no idea what it is,I couldn't find any oil leaks, do you guys know what it could be? Also the rpm guage is all over the place, but the car idles and drives fine (i'm guessing it's an electical problem) and the airbag light is on. The total price they are asking for the car is 3,500.

Used *game and *scene in the same sentence within 5 words of each other. Extra cool.

You're going to have a fun time here guy.

Well, get your flame suit ready,

Now before you decide to leave this forum forever because we're all assholes let me help you, that's not a burn by the fuel door, that's oxidation from gas vapor eating at the paint so I'm gonna guess that's a leaky gas cap, not starting either meant it sat or has a shitty alternator.

As long as the car is straight, the frame rails aren't caved in, the engine kinda runs, and there's no hoonigan stickers on it I'd say go for it.

That looks like a fire to me, possibly vandalism ( putting a rag in there and lighting it)
If there isnt too much damage and otherwise in good shape, it mite be a decent deal. Try to talk them down and look through the car thoroughly, search for threads on here for common problems/ thing to look for. Good luck

Well if it were a fancy BMW you'd get a check engine light (I'd know I have one of those pieces of shit), anyways if it is gas leaking past the cap you'd be able to smell it and it would act like a vacuum leak.

A lot. too much.

When you're haggling, remember that it's not clean or average to still be smoldering at the time of sale.

Games are for kids and scenes are for clap-laden hoes.

Cypress where? CA? If it's in Cali jump on it, you can't get a real kouki for that price normally in my experience. Shit tell them $2800 and go from there.

And yes, please refrain from saying "scene" and "game"
