Stock Pistons: SR20DE vs SR20DET
Hey guys - I need to pick your brain.
I have the option of re-assembling my sr20 with the stock 8.5:1 pistons with new rings, or tossing in a set of 9.5:1 SR20DE pistons with new rings from a FWD sr20 I have in the shop. Are they made of different alloys? Any differences other then having to notch them for the oil squirters? I really like the idea of a faster spool, and more "get up and go" of the higher compression number. Thoughts? |
