Somewhere around there, it sucks so much being a broke college student, DD'ing a 1989 Jeep cherokee that got 16 miles to the gallon when it was brand new, add 330,000+ miles, 19 years of depreciation, a tendency to idle at 1100-2700 rpm and being owned by a female with stereotypical car care habits (sis) and imagine what its getting now. At times I can literally drive to wal-mart to get food, which is less than 8 miles and see the needle move every so slightly

I just filled my car with like 20 bucks this morning and its only a third full. Price was like $4.11, so damn ridiculous.

I think it may be cheaper on like a tuesday night or something time when there is not much traffic. Stations actually hike prices, like friday during rush hour. This is gonna be one awesome summer! (gay)

I've never seen a station do that in my area. The gas business is very competitive and most stations are trying to beat each other by a penny or two (the busy locations anyway). Raising the price during rush hour is the last thing a station wants to do for it's reputation. In fact my competitors have even dropped their price by a penny or so for the busy weekend to try and steal more customers...

Premium is at 3.99 at my Chevron station near USC.

Right now our price is $1.20 per litre for 87 octane...

Which is probably something like $5 a US gallon...

For 91 octane it's $1.30 and for 94 octane it's at $1.40... I wish we paid by the gallon...

I am glad the Jeep will be going into hiding soon(11.5mpg FTL, but can't beat it in the snow, which there is still some) Hopefully my DD 240 will get good gasmilage. Looking at buying a Ruccus or ninja 250.

I am selling one of my cars to buy a bike. I cant take it anymore. When I had my old bike $10 would last me 3 days commuting 40mi each way. It was mint!!!

my bad, found some more reliable info that states a 03 600RR gets around 35~40mpg

looks like the quite smaller 125R is the hot ticket, anywhere from 60~75mpg... but thats what you should expect with such a small motor

why dont people rebel or something there should be wide spread protests.

As long as people keep quiet and say nothing the prices will keep going up.

Even if all the countries of the world are invaded by the US with oil, and theres so much abundance of oil, there will always be some media/government bullshit excuse to raise gas prices. Global warming, environment, taxes, war, shortage, too little oil, too much oil, train caught fire, baby fell in oil well. Whatever.

I get 26 mpg on my SR, so it doesn't bother me too much. My Cherokee with the 4.0L I-6 gets 18-19mpg, not too bad considering the size of the engine. Expedition gets 13-16mpg, it's getting sold this summer.

Carpooling FTW, instantly cut my gas consumption by about 1/3. Do it.

At one point in time gas was .69 cents per gallon in 1997.

Now it is $3.43 (regular) per Gallon in Augusta GA.
