need local oc cali help sr experts or so
Ok just got this car in a trade it has a red top sr but has a bad idle n need help eliminating possibilities or pin piont the problem I want to ride it already so from a fellow 240 owner to another I needs ur help plz n thanks

There are way to many factors that can contribute to poor idle qulity to diagnose over the internet.
But heres a suggestion remove & clean the IAC assm. Also check for vaccume leaks,Or vacume hoses done wrong. This is just a start!!!!

The tps could be off too, I would check the ecu for codes. Even if u don't see any on the dash it could mean it wasn't wired in. Check the tps voltage, check the timing, compression test. Did he change the fuel pump or is it still a stock KA? hope he did if not he might have been boosting high on a stock pump and run the motor lean killing the rings on the pistons.

Try the simple things first, like mentioned before, clean IAC, and clean the MAF. Any exhaust leaks? Does pumping the brake pedal make it die/bog down?
