my car is a 98 silvia with a sr engine there a rattling noise coming from the engine maybe its the timing tensioner or guide as ive read insome of the topic but some of the topic is for the ka and not for the sr my question is is there any dyi solution for this problem somethin like for the ka, can i also remove the guide if theres any?
i wish you guys can help me on this ive been to so many shop and nissan service center and they dont have the parts needed.

did the nissan guys tell you what the problem could be?
have you left the car running with the hood up to
try and pinpoint the noise. it could be something loose or something bouncing off the engine as it vibrates..
i dont know if that helped, but i dont have any exp, with the SR engine at this time.

the nissan guy told me tha it is the timing chain tensioner and they dont have areplacement for it .
