i bought a s13 the other day and i noticed that when i got on it (it was in 2nd gear when i notice it) it started to sputter or cut out at around 5500 and above and only on heavy acceleration does this happen i changed the plugs to ngk bkr8eix from the ngk bkr7eix that were in there already they were bad changed the coil packs fuel filter im only pushing around 270whp 240tq could the different plugs cause the car to cut out or sputter? or what might be the issue any help would be great thanks!

Check the ground on the coilpack harness. This happened to a friend of mine and he had to ground each coilpack individually.

check gap... if its iridium dont touch the gap... may need to go to a colder plug? how much boost are you running?

i checked ground its tight and the plugs r iridiums the ix 8s maybe i should run a 7 oh and im running stock boost at 8 lbs
