Need Help with Consult-II

Since this engine (1998 SR) is in a 240Z I dont have the dash harness, I NEED to pull codes. Looking at the ECU pin outs there seem to be 3 pins for Consult-II. Shouldnt there be more? Also, any ODB2 scanner will pull these codes right? Need the codes, need'em. Thanks

Three wires for data, a ground, and ignition. Five total.

R240NA, What do you mean by Ignition? Tach signal? and this will work with any ODB2 scanner right? Now i just need to know the orders of the wires in the clip that plugs into the scanner. Thanks guys!

Ignition, meaning key in "on" position. I highly doubt the sr20det is OBDII compliant.

it may be easier to hook it up to a laptop via the consult port. If you look on that site i gave you earlier they have the program that runs it somewhere.

Check this man, this is sick, leave it to the aussies to make a consult protocal reading black box that you can read on your laptop, oh and it can data log and realtime display every sensor in your car aswell. $115US I'm allready on the list for one.

I have the PLMS software on my DIY Consult interface. Its pretty neat, about $35 built and $30 for the software. I just wish the gauges could be customized with DataScan. The data logging is ok with excel but Martin Cooksey's Datalog Viewer is much better for reading what was logged. http://www.blazt.biz/300/interface/dviewer.htm
A working map trace would be awesome too.
