Road America (elkhart lake, WI) Road Racing Next Weekend!
just wondering if anyone is going to road america next weekend (aug 7-10th)
if you've never been, it's one of the best tracks in the country (4 miles long, a little bit of everything...with the main straight being a mile long!!!) The American Le Mans Series (ALMS) is gonna be there, along with the Speed World Challenge (my favorite) Tons of sweet race cars, sedans, and shenanigans to be had for all. Last year there was a drift demo held on the smaller go kart track which was extremely sweet, but i haven't seen any info on it this year. Order your tickets before wednesday for a discounted rate. Hope to see you there. Hit me up and let me know if you're goin and maybe ill see you there! Road America - Elkhart Lake Wisconsin - Road Racing at it's Best! |

I WANT to get up there for it. we will see how the funding is. Seeing how i think it's $40? to watch and 2 days for me and my girlfriend = EXPENSIVE!!!
But i've already been there twice this year. |

A bunch of my buddies from Panache Driver are going up there.
I unfortunately can't make it.

i just bought the superticket (all 4 days for $90....) and camping tickets, and you're right it does get pretty expensive
but road america is as close as it gets to nirvana for me. I fuckin love that track. it's so much better than going to any of the big city races where theres barricades and grandstands everywhere. I like the freedom of just walking around sitting on a grassy hill, and wandering around some more. I've seen plenty of formula one, and the commerciality (if that's even a word) of it makes it less fun IMO. Viva Road America & sedan racing Oh yea, if you can't think of a reason to go....the sound of the Aston Martin in the GT class of the Speed Challenge will make your ticket price worth it (it's orgasmic) |
