ka24de trans swap

okay so i have a 91 240sx currently it's an automatic im swapping it over to a 5 speed manual what is the difference between the automatic and the 5 speed someone please help!!!!! I don't want to spend $70.00 on one from Nissan

What are you talking about?
$70 for what?

Did you search? There are countless threads on what Items you need: Clutch pedal, Clutch Hard Line, Shorter Brake Pedal etc.

VSS I guess. Poor kid can't type without leaving whole words out of his post.

They're different and can't be swapped. Find a used manual one or buy a new one for $62 at any OTC auto parts store.

Oops sorry i forgot!!! The crossmember what is the difference? Oh and i'm not a boy!!!
the crossmember brand new from nissan is $70.00 and that is definately more than i want to pay for the part

auto crossmember just wont line up with the 5 speed mount you need to use the correct one. they are fairly cheap when i bought mine at the junkyard i thnk i paid like 25 bucks.

Thanks a bunch i just need to make sure, i don't quit have the new tranny back in but i wanted to make sure, i already got the pilot bearing off last night your right that was a B#$%*. The only problem with getting it from a junk yard is finding a 240 in the junk yard very rare to find here.

very rare to find a 240 in a junkyard anywhere my friend. Especially in cali. They are rare.

Wheere can you get a vss for $62 dollars? I would love to get my hands on one for that price. I need an S14 manual VSS. Where do i get it?

Napa sells it for 200 something, carquest could get it for me for 140. Thats still too much.

s13 are not hard to find down here mine most of the time has
2-4 they just charge an a$$ load for parts

they were tryin to sell me a (1) tension rod for 40 bux and they asked me
what it was after they agve me a price lol
so i went to the next j/y over they told me 80bux and still asked me
what it was
