STOLEN in San Diego- Wheels and Roof Rack
Not sure if this is the place to post it, so mods feel free to move it.
Just got back to my car today at 12:30pm on 12/6/11 to find my car like this . Thule roof rack and wheels were stolen. Car was parked on La Jolla Village Dr. in San Diego since 7pm. Went to school (UCSD) overnight to study for finals and came back to find it on blocks. Super disappointed since these were my first and only wheels, even if they were not really very special. Posting around with the glimmer of hope they may turn up. The wheels were XXR 962’s in gunmetal, seen below. They have a pretty limited market because of their size and bolt pattern- 18x9.5 +35 all around in 4x114.3. As far as I know, without pretty good modification the only car they’re really going to fit on correctly are 240’s. They had 3 Achilles tires in 215/40/18 and one had a Falken 452, same size. I imagine they won’t have them on anymore, but the center caps I made myself so they are one off’s. Can’t imagine I’ll be finding my roof rack, but one thing that stood out about it was that it had the old style Thule fairing in pretty much new condition that not many people have anymore. Had 2 bike racks on it. If you have any information or see them anywhere, please contact me. My phone number is (31zero)49zero-8zero1eight. Thank you for your time! -Colin Previously: Today: Close up of wheels: Last edited by 7ender; 02-05-2016 at 11:28 AM.. |

dam i was gonna say who the hell steals xxr but they look pretty good on that accord.. i seriously wish the law would be more harsh on thieves, off with their hands! I would think thieves are going to be repeat offenders..
Hopefully those wheels or roof rack shows up soon.. maybe get a buddy to park his car there and try a sting operation

that really sucks man. you probably won't find it on CL most thieves like to rock the shit they steal. its a small world you never know you might run into someone rocking your wheels and rack.

FYI: Probably not a great idea posting up where you park your car, and at what specific time...
(...You never know who views these threads.) But anyways, sorry to hear about your stuff getting ripped off. It definitely seems to me like the thief would be rocking your ish on his/her ride though... My logic: 'Who rolls up and jacks CHEAP wheels and a roof rack, with intent to sell?' ...Just my opinion though. Keep your eye's opened, and you might see a fool rollin' with your gear. I doubt they'd be up here, but I'll keep my eyes peeled. Good luck man.. Oh, and get a good alarm system!!!! (Number one priority on cars like ours, guys...) |

Stealing wheels that everyone has makes it easier to sell.
If you look around, nobody steals really nice wheels / cars / parts. It would make it too hard to sell.
