s13 E and DE stock exhaust... are they the same?

I need a stock front pipe and cat for my '91 and I can get one from a SOHC.... will it fit or not? I know this is sort of a newb question, but I had never really thought about it...

it should s13 and exhausts should be the same from dual to single cam, i ordered the SSA s13 exhaust on my sohc and it fits perfect, and i know of people with a DOHC running the same exhaust.

you should be fine!

I'm really just talking about the front pipe that bolts to the manifold... not the rear section.

IIRC All S13/S14 cat backs are chasis specific. So if you has an S13 exhaust it'll fit any s13..same with S14.

You guys are tearing up that reading thing.

Manifold and downpipe do NOT swap over. Why? Different head. Any of the 91-98 parts will work though if you have both pieces.

really? Then I have some parts for sale.... But I've heard it will not work.

Just wait for the CA to put the SSA in. I don't know your timeline but, I would get a OBX header off ebay and run it till you get the CA set up then resell the header.

SOHC exhaust mani's (and exhaust ports) are spaced like this: 0-0----0-0
DOHC exhaust mani's (and ports) are equidistant, thus: 0--0--0--0

Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Any DOHC manifold/downpipe combo will fit any DOHC motor, the EGR port is different between S13 and S14 but you can either cap it off or use the appropriate EGR pipe as well.

the E has a different head so different headers, you need a 91 headers and downward to the car , i know this i get a KA24e and a 24de in my garageright now . As far as exhaust being vehicle specific its not really the shape of bending of the exhast , thats usually the same if there is the same motor what really changes are the hangar locations
