Holy THREAD REVIVAL!
Since the beginning of this thread, I bought some altima fans(I have no money), and redid my radiator hose ghetto spl style...
Here's the before pic...

It was a good fix for the last 3 or so months of school I had to go before a long break... and now its the long break sooooooo....

The project to clean my fucking heinous engine bay has BEGUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have a few weeks off from school/work/life, and i'm redoing everything! Here's the pics.

I pulled the motor, and started stripping the intake mani...

In progress! Since this pic was taken, i've reassembled what I needed and ditched all the vac lines and emissions crud...
Like the Jammies?

I also degreased everything, primered it, and started painting it...

Tomarrow i'm doing the exhaust mani...
Gotta strip the rust from the turbo, manifold, and downpipe and then repaint it all...
Clean the block and paint that too....
Fill the motormounts with something good from home depot...

Later
New clutch hardline...
Relocating the wiring harnesses and fusebox as well as slimming them down...
I'm getting real intercooler pipes made as well!

HOW THE HELL DO I REMOVE THE @[email protected]#%[email protected] BATTERY TRAY!?????

The intake manifold all assembled.

This is all the crap that comes off the intake manifold.

The dirty turbo. Keep in mind this is after a light polish on the compressor side, and stripping the rust. It was much worse then this...

More derusting, plus some really high temp paint.

Cleaned valve cover, and turbo together atlast.

Tomarrow... Motormounts.

I think the battery tray has spot welds that you can drill out. I'd have to double check though. BTW, FUCK YOU AND YOUR SCHOOL BREAK!!! I've been going to school and working 12 hour shifts from 3AM to 3PM.

HAHAHAHAHAHA!

Hey just remember all the time I have to put into school when I'm not on break felt just as bad.

You need a beer Flybert. Come over and have one if you find the time.

I didn't just take out EGR, theres a lot more extra sensors and vacuum lines you don't need in the intake mani. I took out about 4-5 Vacuum lines that run other emissions junk and I removed 2-3 sensors that are related to EGR and airconditioning(?).

This is the enginebay more or less finished and assembled...
Notice I finally got that battery tray out and lowered the fuse box.

I went in and did a few select touch ups like shielding the brakemaster from the manifold heat and...

Changing all my hose clamps to nicer ones.

I tried to change my waterpump but, when I popped it off it looked brand new so I stuck it back on.

This is the enigine harness after some conservative cleaning (I'm notoriously bad at wiring so I had dousan supervise so I don't just start cutting things randomly).

Since the motor's out I decided to fill my mounts with peanutbutter. I heard it works better then Polyurethane. =)

I'm only filling the torqueing side of the motor for now because I don't want the shakes.

Thats all folks! The intake manifold gasket set is comming tuesday and the motor's going back in very carefully. I'm currently reqiring the interior....

Wouldn't doing just one motor mount just put more stress on the engine/car cause the other side isn't really damping anything. The motor can't move anymore than the filled mount will let it. ???

Heat wrapped and aluminum taped PS reservior (also did the brake fluid one too)

Stripped down(IE NONE) vac lines on the throttle side.

The only vac lines i'm using. Brake booster, FPR, Boost Gauge (anything else anyone can think of?)

Wrapped up and protected distributor.

EGR block off plate, and other misc removed things on the intake mani with revised fuel/vac routing.

The money shot. My cleaned dual feed setup. The t-fitting is mounted low on the intake mani so it'll look like this in the car... anyone want to donate some stainless lines for this? ^_^

Motor's going into the car tomarrow!
I changed almost every freakin hose clamp for the worm type(I hate the kind you need pliers for) as well as all the lines.

New poly steering rack bushings, hardline clips and crap comming in a few days! I'm almost done!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey john, it would probably would have been easier to put the steering rack bushings in before you dropped in the motor. If you got the Z32 ones, they are kind of a bitch to get in there with the motor in.

The lines that came with the kit. It's some chikara kit I got for a few coconuts and a pineapple on the island of hawaii.

Ok so I knew this was going to happen.

The cars back together and it don't start... anyone following this have any ideas?

It just cranks and cranks and cranks.....
Must be spark or fuel right?

I tried grounding one of the plug wires and I didn't see anything..
It's not a fuse.

I'm stumped....

EDIT: NEVERMIND! Scooter got my nose in my fsm and I fixed it.

Cheers for scooter (RBS14)!!!
