Post s14 and s13 FRONT rotors interchangeable?

I just did my 5 lug swap on my 90 240sx and ran into an issue with the brakes.

Now, first of all, the calipers & pads on my car are STOCK OEM FACTORY 1990 Nissan 240sx.

I'm using STOCK OEM s14 front rotors specifically from 97-98 models (i forget exact yr, but I know its from my friend's kouki s14).

The issue:

the s14 front rotors are slightly bigger, larger, in dimension (width and diameter) than my stock s13 front rotors.

SO,
the s14 rotors are binding (wont spin freely) on my stock s13 calipers. The rotor makes contact on the metal guides that help the brake pads sit correctly in the caliper. (included photo below).

My question is, why do these rotors not fit properly?

ps. My friend with a 1993 s13 just did his 5 lug swap and he used brand new drilled/slotted s14 rotors. They fit just fine on his stock s13 calipers and he had no issues.

Is there a difference between zenki (89-90) and chuki ( 91-94) s13 calipers?

For your question, no.

However, ABS rotors are slightly larger for all S13/S14 models, and ALL convertibles and S14 Koukis got the larger ABS rotors/calipers. So your problem is that you pulled them off of a Kouki, S14 Zenki rotors (non ABS) would fit fine.

So, '89-'96 ABS rotors, '92-'94 convertible rotors, and '97-'98 rotors are all the same size, which is slightly larger than '89-'93 and '95-'96 rotors.

ProjectRDM,

Will rotors from an s13 240sx (w/o ABS) that are 4 lug fit a, S14 240sx (w/o ABS) that is also 4lug?

Im kinda skeptical because the S13 is ligther than a S14 and i'm not sure that the rotors for an S13 are rated for the weight of an S14.

So if I wanted to swap my Zenki from 4 to 5 lug, which rotors should I use? I'm not sure if I have an ABS model as I have a 4 lug but I do have the oem sunroof and power everything so I believe it's an SE.
