I rebuilt my Rack&Pinion a while back.....
The Rebuild ITSELF was done by a Local Shop that i know (which did a fantastic Job) the removal was pretty straight forward... just minor issues with the steering column and the cuppler ( and keeping the steering wheel straight when putting it all back In) I can get you the address to the shop, its here in Socal... |

i just took my rack and pinion out to convert it to a manual rack its very simple. Keep in mind my motor was out so the removal may be a little harder. Heres a link i followed its very informative.
http://www.nicoclub.com/archives/how...eringrack.html to rebuild it would be pretty much the same minus plugging the ports and cutting the piston |

On a really old rack putting new seals in might not stop leaks, you might have to bore it out and stuff, or buy a rebuilt one. Expensive though.
