changing the headgasket prior to ka-t?
I know its always best to change out the headgasket but im wondering, for those who went ka-t, did you guys change out your head gasket before boosting? and if you didnt, did your motor last?

i changed mine out before, as well as putting arps in there. my first ka-t didnt last very long but this was a long time ago before i knew too much and i popped a hg.
i would change it, even if you dont have the money for the arps at least you got a fresh gasket in there.

i just slapped a turbo on lol I daily'd it at 10 psi with a t3/t4 for about a year and a half until I cracked the ring lands on #4 due to a bad walbro fuel pump. At that point I just pulled the motor and changed all the gaskets and seals so I don't know how long the stock headgasket would have lasted but I heard the stock hg is pretty durable and can withstand a good amount of boost.
