Anyway to get a boot over the Isis/Megan V2 short shifter?
I have a Megan racing V2 shifter and am getting a bit of gear oil coming out the top of it. The B&M has a boot. Is there a way of getting a OEM boot over the bottom? The weight on the handle prevents me from sliding a boot over it, unless it unscrews? But im not sure.

Its rubber!.... rubber stretches..
I bought a OEM one off frsport.com for mine. For install I just rubbed a lil gear oil on the small top end and slipped it over, as for the bottom fat end, I used a metal zip tie to hold that sucker in place..easy peasy! |

There should be a c-clip right above the weight. Take of weight, slide boot on, place thin o-ring(rubber hair band) over shaft, slide weight on top of "band"(this will keep the weight from rattling). Place c-clip back on. Done

I used this when I put in my Tomei shifter. You can slide it over the shifter with a lil help of grease or oil. I'm pretty sure this is the one everyone above me is referring to.
