s14 drive shaft clutch and diff swap problem?

hey guys, how can you tell which drive shaft you have? i have a 1995 s14 that was swapped to manual before i bought it, and whoever did the job, did it horribly. it was a major hack job. but right now im trying to figure out which driveshaft i have installed in my car. how can you tell what car it came out of? i just swapped the clutch and im throwing a j30 diff in there now. i dont have abs btw.
please help!

Take a picture of where it goes into the tranny.

The FSM should have measurements of the two shafts. I believe the S14 has a longer wheel base than the S13 (I'm not certain) but I do know there is a difference between S13 and S14 drive-shafts.

S14 shafts are 2 piece while 13s are 3 pieces (front piece between the carrier and in put shaft are 2 pieces).

As far as s14 abs vs non-abs manual shafts, the back side between the carrier and the diff are different lengths. Non-abs are longer since the non abs diff housing are shorter. Is your shaft bolting up to the diff? Do you have a non abs diff housing in there now and is the j30 an abs diff? Best way to tell is the front snout of the diff has a pigtail plug to it and you may see a ring gear up front. Take pictures of both riffs and post it up here.

ya the j30 is an abs diff so it's a little bit longer, everything bolted up though.
could the diff be causing my clutch to slip if it's too long? i dont know how that would work but i thought id ask.
there is a little play in the diff between the tranny and the diff so i doubt it.
