S13 Sunroof Delete
I am considering removing and filling in the sunroof on my S13 and I am curious as to whether or not a non-sunroof headliner can be installed in place of the sunroof headliner. Yes I searched and yes I found some fairly vauge information on how to do a sunroof delete but no I was not able to find any information on the headliner so I appreciate any info that I can get here.

Wise choice to seal up your sunroof. But an even wiser choice would be to find a non-sunroof chassis and go from there. I'm sure there is someone out there that wants to trade their non-sunroof model for a sunroof model.

My buddy did this to his 1G dsm. Basically had a guy cut the sunroof out then weld on a decent size sheet of metal. Then used body filler to make it all even.

I understand the actual repair portion of the process I just don't want to do it and then not be able to make a headliner fit. Also, I'm not sealing it off as it doesn't leak. It does however rarely get used and it squeaks and creaks whenever I go over any size bump.

Wont be a bolt in affair but it it is doable, same roof except they removed the support bar and added a sunroof in its place. What it really comes down to is coupe vs hatch I know those are different chassis but the most part the foreword section is the same for both chassis.

From my searches it seems like the easiest and best way to delete the sunroof is to cut the roof skin off of your car and weld on a non-sunroof roof skin to your existing car. Go to a junk yard and get a donor roof or buy one from Nissan.
Welding in sheet metal and getting the curvature right is going to be difficult. Thats a rather large area to start from scratch with. It will take tons of work to make it look straight.

Here is a thought, cut off the skin and put on the carbon fiber roof skin on, they look amazing.
