KA Swapping KA(D) valtrain to another head. HELP!

I'm in the process of repairing a KA(D) engine. The head has a few water ports corroded and there is another head core in my possession that's in better shape. My father wants to swap the entire valvetrain from one head to another. Besides lapping the valves, are there any issuesthat can come out of this, like valvespring bucket clearance with the cam and what not? We're sending it to a machine shop, but we want to be sure.

Thanks.
