OV: RB20-S13-92 Build up
RB20's suck, don't buy em.
The engine itself don't suck, but all the hate that comes with it does Last edited by OrangeVirus1; 05-13-2013 at 02:25 PM.. |

^^^ wow first comment starting the troll process.
buuuuuuuuuut if you were to go rb why not an rb25? or go sr... the rb20 weighs more than the sr, has less power, and is a pain in the ass to find parts for compared to the sr20 or even the rb25/ 26.. |

the ca isnt that bad though its like the sr20's lil brother! lol^^^.... either way youll be spending some cash to get this motor at high and reliable hp... if money isnt an issue then let the build continue!

how exactly is an rb25 a lesser engine? im not trolling im just stating what i seem to know and hear AND i wanted to know why you went this route instead of a 25/26 because i figure if youre going to go rb why not get the extra displacement? and compared to which sr20? an s15 sr20 holds more hp than an rb20 but yes i understand price wise its ridiculous...
any engine is shit if not built correctly so thats just an opinion on your side. you must have good hookups on parts for your build as well but you cant tell me that rb20 parts are easier to find then sr20 parts unless you have or know of some rb guru lol.... Now back to the build... what are the hp goals for this build? jw |

hahaha supra to a honda motor xD well in that case then power to you.
that engine cost is cheaper by a tad(4-6 hundred bucks) compared to a red top but once again that could reflect upon who you got the motor from... ive seen some sr's go for that price and was your purchase a whole engine setup? any rb taken to 8k sounds like sex but there is just something weird to me about an inline 6 only being 2 liters..but thats probably me just being weird xD ive never heard or have seen an rb20 pushed to 400hp because they arent brought up as much as sr20s in conversation and youre right on the blowing piston rings but the only true way to tell which can handle more is to build both motors with the same mods.... so funny as it may sound I might end up building an sr to your rb's specs... |

There are 500+hp Rb20's online.. not much but they exist. I saw a dyno sheet somewhere online for a RB20 with 670whp, but I can't find it anymore
my whole engine setup.. I was basically paid 500$ to take it. ( costed me 1200$ but read below ) basically after a long dispute with paypal and the seller, I ended up getting all my money back and keeping the engine. then I sold parts off it and made over 500$. |

and thats a rad ass story behind getting a motor but this is the exact reason ill never buy any motor, turbo, or just any important part for my car from there because its either a replica POS or its never usually what the seller says it is although there are some truthful people on there but not many. its cool how you got to keep the merchandise and get your money back. that dude that sold you the engine must have not been too bright |

Well drove 6 hrs one way to pic it up from a guy and was supposed to be a drop in swap but the harness was butchered didn't realize the trans was trashed. And none of the ic piping matched up. And I payed 1600 after gas for everything

So since then I spent another 400 on a trans. Bought a Godspeed ffim and had it decked to ensure it was warped and powder coated so that was another 330. And currently working on ic piping issue.
