Techno toy tuning and QA-1 would be a good place to start for anyone wanting to diy up their own coilovers. Also if you can get some measurments of your oem struts most shock companies should have something for you. Inverted beefy ass monotubes, adjustable, rebuildable. Whatever you want. Just have to hunt. Bilstein's inverted monotube "HD" shocks are pretty beefy looking. I'm s13 chassis but if you're scratch building this will still point you in the right direction. Again, TECHNO TOY TUNING and QA-1 are good resourses to get you started.
