1998 Deep Fuschia KA-T BUILD!
Hey guys this is my first build thread
this is my ride, ive had 240sx's before but this one was unique. I bought it off an old lady for 3,000. it had 150k original miles single owner 1998 deep fuschia ls1 color code. It was completely mint but the downside was that it was automatic I first just wanted to do the 5 spd conversion and dump it..but things change.. scroll down and look at the picture story lol. Mad credit to the TTG boys, theyre the brains of the operation! after i bought the lip got a good deal on a motor and pieced the 5 spd swap together so decided to get rid of the old..and...put in another ka..with lower miles donor taking out the crusty old motor (still ran like a champ) coming out le bay making some space for something called a clutch freshh new in SHE LIVES interior looking sorta good Well all these pictures are from about 2-3 months ago before the motor went to shit lol

Under the knife again sadly... But coming out fully built !!! Flimsy Honda rods vs beefy Nissan rods... Tranny internals were super minty

Why repaint it? It looks fine in the photos. 1 of 24 would be getting some paint correction treatment before I ever resprayed it, just saying.

ebay timing chain, the plastic guides went into the oil pickup tube :') but luckily the head gasket went bad and i decided to put her down when she was running weird. if i kept on driving it for sure it wouldve seized up or caused serious damage.

You'd be surprised what a professional can do with some cutting and buffing... Like I said, I'd try that before I go spray bombing the car from its original paint.

Touch Up Paint from PaintScratch.com
Paint Scratch mixes colors almost perfect. I had no problems at all when I ordered a touch up pen for my two-tone, color was a spot on match. Just plug in 1998 Nissan 240sx, and look for color code #LS1.

I have always heard and seen that the rods are the weak point, not the pistons. Invest in some rods.

nice, we have the exact same car, only thing i'd have like different on my car is the sunroof I hate it. I know we own thee rarest s14 color cars, unfortunately im not a big fan of it. I was actually thinking of painting mine a different color until i found out it's the rarest color, so now i gotta either put up with it or trade shells.

Don't worry guys, the clutch is only for the engine break-in period, I'm tossing it out when I go boost :-)
