Any shops in SC that are good with sr20's?
I don't know of any shops around here and need some help. I know there's plenty in Atlanta, but what else would any one recommend?

Yeah NSP is a good place to go as well. It used to have a bad rep because of one terrible employee. no names but his shop lost a lot of credit. but Dave will help out. the prices for people he doesnt know may be a tad higher but he won't screw anyone over if they seem legit.

Maybe dave stepped up his game recently but a had a good friend get fucked on a sr swap from him a few years ago. Wont go into many details but the work was sub par (wire nuts on the harness anyone?) and kept a ton of parts from the halfcut. Not to mention charged the kid almost 6k. But like i said, that was like 5 years ago.

I got all my work done there on my 97..turbo, internals, etc... its pushing 485hp, and still reliable as a daily driver.. Very happy with everything they have done, its a 2 hour drive to showzone, but I wouldnt go anywhere else, awesome shop, awesome people, awesome work... Nothing else to say.

I'm no shop, but I have alot of useful information that I don't mind passing along to you. I've been to Showzone a couple times, never had anything done but like Matt said earlier they're very down to earth.

Also you get what you pay for so there's Enjuku Racing in Fl if your down for the drive. I'm located at Beaufort, SC and looking to get my car tuned soon when I get back from deployment as well.

Japanese Auto Specialist's in Greenville are great too. They've done most of the major work to my car and the owner Bill is a great honest guy that won't give you the run around. He also just got a dyno put in and has been dynoing cars.

Yeah Bill is a good guy too. i went to school with his son Austin Wilson, and his friend Felix. they both can build a car or figure out what the issue is. Bill's 6.3 second SC61 automatic SR20 S13 hatch holds up constantly.

How familiar is he with SR's though. Not like just dyno and call it a day but optimum performance and know's his stuff. Kinda like Steve Shadows.

I'll vouch for Showzone all day, those guys know what they are doing tuning cars. I've seen RB25 S13, SR20 S14, SR20 S13, you name it, they've tuned it and done a great job! A friend sent his RB25 S13 there and it had a few problems that were causing it to shutter under boost at higher rpms, when the car came back it was strong as ever.

I'd reccomend REP Automotive all day long. White Horse Rd in Greenville. the owner Virgil can build anything. he's especially good with RB's and SR's. not too mention he can build any Honda motor blindfolded.

Bill at Jap Auto is probably the best guy in the Greenville/Upstate area.
If your talking about the Virgil I know then yes, he really can do anything honda related blindfolded. He knows what he's doing on about anything. As far as NSP, I avoid them. Used to use them a lot but I lost faith in their ability to do good quality work. I'll stop by for parts but thats it. He does have lots of parts though, usually has 5 or 6 shells sitting outside the shop.
