What I don't understand is how people think XXR's are knockoffs.... How many different ways can you make a 10 spoke wheel? Can anyone tell me one wheel by xxr that is a blatant knockoff? They are cheap wheels for sure, but Rota and barfsteons are blatant knockoffs.

Anyway car looks good. Can't wait to see it done!

I think it's the fact that knockoff and crappy are used more interchangingly...

Knockoff = Crappy

All the same...

Today i got the sound deadening off, well all except for deadening on the top half of the rear seat; that part was a pain to keep the ice on it and it was the last thing i did so most of the ice was evaporated. Im thinking i just have to buy another block of dry ice and try it again. Also the tubs were building up alittle surface rust so i sanded them down and sprayed a little self etching primer on them just until i finish prepping the rest of the engine bay and the interior cabin and shoot my sealer primer.

Tomorrow im planning on finishing the sound deadening removal, and start the prep on the bay and cabin area. then next weekend ill move the car into the paint booth, mask it all up, buy the paint and shoot it. Hopefully itll be warmer than it is now.

STAY TUNED!

well i dont have a tube bender nor a working* mig welder and im low on funds so taking the car back to Nocturnal is not an option. But i dont mind the oem rad sup. its not bent or rusted so its here to stay...for now

So today i had some free time so i went down to the shop to work, luckily i found some wax and grease remover in the back of the paint booth, i was gonna buy a new container and atart cleaning tomorrow but since i found some today i got to cleaning the engine bay. I also taped up the windshield so it looks like i accomplished alot today :P

i didnt want to buy another block of dry ice to get the rest of the sound deadening off, so i just hit it with my heat gun and a hand chisel. It was surprisingly easy and didnt take very long to do the tranny tunnel and the rear seat. So now thats done i just have to go over interior with the wax and grease remover to get the rest of the deadening off as well as the adhesive from my carpet.

Also i finally got the money for the paint stuff together so I WILL BE PAINTING THE CAR THIS WEEKEND

Stay Tuning...pun

I have some good news...I finally finish painting...(sigh of relief)

Its been a hard 2 weeks, but the car went from this:

To this:

Then into the paintbooth:

Then to this:

Then fully masked up:

Then i got the paint materials out of my trunk...finally:

Then came primer:

Finally came the single stage white:

Its not perfect, there are some runs that ill buff out tomorrow, but still overall for my first time shooting with a paint gun its not half bad. I do have to admit there were sometimes that i was "holy shit, am i doing this right"

Also i got these in the mail:

Im still waiting on some parts from chasebays since theyve forgot part of my order...lol

anyways thanks for staying tuned, more updates to come soon

im definately jealous of the funds. but none the less, if your the one putting in all this work and labor on the car then i give props where props are due, keep it up. not many people have that same determination at a young age.

Thanks guys, Im very meticulous about certain things and my cars are one of them, i do my best...when im not being lazy lol
Anyways Update Time!!!

Since painting the car, ive gotten this surge of motivation to finish this car already, so yesterday i painted some of the front suspension pieces to get them ready for install:

Today i went to the shop right after school...and that also hardly happens too...lol
I applied the undercoating to both wheel wells:
i got to say this stuff is the BOMB, its pricey but its actually black not a dark brown or grey color:

I taped up all of the holes and gap so non of the coating goes into the white bay:

And then i just sprayed it on and ta-da!

Then i started installing the front susp. parts:

Front fenders on:

Painted Bumper support and NEW OEM ZENKI RETAINER! FuCk YeS!

Then on went the Headlight and Bumper:

The front end is just a mock up to see what its gonna look like, i still have to remove to do other stuff later in the build but for now it looks sick!
As soon as i get the rest of my order from chasebays ill install all of that, redo the chassis harness and then install the SR20 it once had, but with new goodies HAHA..
Stay Tuned...
