I need those as well, thank you, but there are white ones on the firewall that hold 3 or 4 lines that I also need...thanks for the good start though!

Can s14 front studs be changed to 60mm extendeds without pulling the hub?

I've changed out stock studs before, so I can't see why you wouldn't be able to do 60mm extended studs.
But honestly, pulling the front hub isn't THAT hard if you can't get them in for whatever reason. And YES. Welded diff's fuck up your tires fast. I had quite a few sets chunk up when I had a welded diff.

Well if they don't have it, I doubt you'll find it at other dealerships. Check out the S14 brake lines, they might be interchangeable, and they still have some of those brackets.

some of the S14 clips look similar, but from those pics I can't tell. I'm just gonna modify some of the ones posted by Slammed180, thanks for all the help guys, much appreciated!

as far as i know there are different friction materials ranging from organic to metallic compounds.
there are also sprung and unsprung clutches, the springs smooth out the drivetrain shock when engaging the clutch, and a unsprung clutch will put more stress on your trasmission. typically more "grabby" compounds will be used on clutches that dont have full surface area (the 4 and 6 puck clutches you mentioned). obviously the more grabby the material (metallic) the less the life of the flywheel, clutch and pressure plate. |

They have the single pipe clips on that site as well, so you could just drill another hole and use both the single, and double pipe clips.

can I use a 350z track edition rotor with 300zx caliper fit under the base 17" 350z 7 spoke wheels? I know that non track edition cars came with the track brakes, but I don't know if the calipers are the same size or if any of them came with 17" wheels over the track brakes.

SOHC Transmission?
Does the SOHC Transmission have shorter gears than the DOHC Transmission on a 240sx? and also, will a SOHC transmission bolt up to a DOHC block, or DOHC bell housing? what would need to be done to do this, obviously it would only be worth it if the gear ratio inside of the transmission was different.

It's hard to tell what you're saying, but YES he needs a tune with 550's and a Z32 MAF. He also needs an oil feed line with the built in restrictor for the ball bearing CHRA. I would get a set of stainless lines for ease of installation.

New member here. Just wondering if you guys got a sticky for what to look out for when purchasing a 240sx. Thinking of picking one up.... is there anything that I should be aware of?
Thanks |
