well since it is 130 degrees in my garage I have little motivation to work on the car. So I'm going to write my daily goals on here with progress pics so I can finish this junk in order to increase instagram followers and one day retire from my earnings.

So this is the current state of the car. No more random pics. I will start adding the words soon. Since it is 120 degrees in my car I have been thinking of every excuse to not work on the car. But I need to get this car down to increase my instagram followers.


I'm going to make daily goals in order to complete this car. I can't eat food until I post pictures of a finished product. This picture is me messing up again. Torqued down the old throttle body thing and this water tube needs to go on first.


Next I need to find the re-zinc bolts and install the ac condenser.


Last order every part I'm missing for the turbos and figure out which turbo is the front and back. If anyone knows speak up. See you kids soon 3lbs lighter.

Success finally off. Going to torque back down to 15.5 lbs.




Monsoon storming rolling in now. Temperature has dropped to 85 from 110. Now time to get some work done.

Task 1 finished. I was nervous about the water hose tube because I had to put a bunch of lbs on it to go into the correct position. All good now. Time to work on the ac condenser.

I wanted to restore my throttle bodies because they looked dirty. My advice don't touch them unless you have idle issues. If you do clean them up make sure to seal them with a dry lube which is hard to find. I'm using DAG-123 which I got from an old geezer that restores throttle bodies on old muscle cars. $21 after shipping you get a little bottle and a brush. He has videos how to re-seal throttle bodies too.

I kind of like the no text just pictures approach.

+1 instagram follower. Amazing attention to detail, though it looks like you're going for old school authenticity I still would of ditched the twins and put an EFR on there. Also, since it looks like money is no object, go for the HKS Vcam. You have a real life dream build so I can spit ball crazy dream build ideas

EFR would be nice but with manifold and turbo etc that is a min of $4,500. The tomei headers were $700 and new turbos were $1,700. That is half the price. A bunch of the stuff I had was bought and sold for a profit to fund this car. I have an okay job in real estate development as a number cruncher that was a result in doing good in college so by no means is money no object. I also got a bigger house which takes all my play money away. HKS Vcam would be nice but HKS recommends you buy all their parts which is 10x more than I paid. I will still look into it more.

Engine management is Haltech Platinum Pro. I got it for $500 brand new of yahoo Japan because they spelled it Haltek and the JDM gods guided me to the discount.

Yea HKS vcam has to be ran on HKS fcon vpro 4.0. At least that is what I heard somewhere when I was looking it up. Fcon isn't used to much in the states I don't believe. At least not compared to haltech and power FC.
