HKS...only had it for about 7 months or so but so far NO COMPLAINTS! Sounds nice on my NA KA. Loud but not too loud to draw unwanted attention. Deep enough tone to set off car alarms at VERY low revs.

I love my N1 dual, I actually got rid of a complete titanium exhaust to keep it! here is a pic on my s14.5 and my old s14. http://community.webshots.com/photo/...3554135KUMuye#

I would have to vote for the N1 dual, I have that system on my car and I love it. Sounds great, not too loud and has a nice rumble. And I llike the look better than one big can.

Yeah with my N1 when my KA was N/A it was LOUUUD, not a ricey bees in a coffee can loud, but, low, deep, droney, and almost like a streetbike at higher RPMs. It sounded great. After boosting my KA, the exhaust is so damn quiet (3inch DP, 3 inch Test pipe, N1's), like just sounds nice and low, enough for a good rumble, definitely doesnt attract the least bit of attention.
Quality, yea welds do suck. A hanger broke off, the welds are starting to leak aright at the canisters themselves. Exhaust has around, 10,000 miles on it. 580 shipped from enjuku in 2004 and it just seems like it fell apart. I'm still buying another one cause regardless of what it is, people still see a large can exhaust and figure it to be the stereotype 'fart can' the duals just look cleaner |

The HKS doesn't hold up as well over a long term period (several years), the internal muffler baffles are notorious for breaking loose & causing a massive restriction with power loss...not a big deal if you feel like replacing the system, but typically it happens when the piping is still in good shape.

Does the single N1 sound somewhat similar to the dual? The reason I ask is because a local guy has one that I might be getting and I love the sound of the N1 dual.

+1 for HKS Hi-per. I have the 65MM version, wished I would have gotten the 80MM than. I've had mines for 3 years, and yes, it's HOLDING UP for all those who said HKS doesn't last. The one's who said it doesn't last probably lived in the northern part of the US, where the SNOW is, that's what happen, it wasn't the exhaust.
Again. +1 for HKS Hi-per. |

my co-workers both have s13's. one with apexi and the other has hks. the hks has a very deep rumbly tone close to a wrx w/ just a muffler. nice and deep, throaty. the apexi sounds more towards the honda end of the scale but is still nice and rumbly. i prefer the hks cuz it sounds less like a can of bee's

duals suck... i have it, its the most amazing sounding exhaust, but the quality is crap, its overweight, and mild steel blows... one of the welds is broke, and there are another two on the way... its just all around crap...
sounds amazing tho, if your not beatin your car, and your roads arent bumpy, go for it.. i dont qualify for either
